Ah, these final heady days, when we were still babies, not yet toddlers. Look at how young and innocent we look...
So this month we have a selection of pics. We have a nice trip out to Alassio in Italy - which is beautiful by the way - especially the underground car park where we broke down...
We have a few of the twins' friends round for a play...
We have Christmas decorations. Before babies, the little glass baubles have lasted being brought back from the Czech Republic, lugged around London, brought over to France, not a problem. Mads broke one within 2 hours of it going on the tree...
And of course this month meant birthdays and Christmas, which to the babies meant boxes, lots and lots of boxes. Sometimes they even played with the thing IN the boxes. But mainly they like boxes...
Birthday pics to follow…

See, I clearly got this wrong right at the beginning. Yes it's month 12 but seems just a little misleading to me now. The twins are 11 months old. But starting at month 0 seemed so wrong. Stoopid numbering system.
Anyway, this month the pair have been up and at 'em. The running - and obviously I don't actually mean running - around has reached new levels, climbing, falling, general fun all round. We have really noticed this month how much they play together and how they like having each other there. Even in their new enormous (ha!) free-range playroom, you often find them just sitting in the same place playing with the same toy. Or how it normally works is Toby starts playing with a toy, Madeleine eyes him coolly and then just takes the toy off him. And that's mine. Toby takes it in good humour usually and then the process begins again. And that's mine too. The cycle is only broken when Mads starts hitting Toby with the toy she has taken off him to see what will happen, and then the Toby snaps. A man can only take so much pushing... And, ever so often, they just go loopy at the same time for no reason. Put something in their way and they simply motor over it like it wasn't there - most of the time this means they just climb over each other mind. Or the infamous head shaking, foot tapping copycat game, the rules of which are frighteningly complicated and only the twins seems to truly understand it...
And they have been to the park a few times this month. They love the slide, they love the bouncing things, they love the see-saw. I am beginning to think they actually LIKE going to the park.
We have also created a monster. The Toby is now only happy if he is holding/eating toast. With cheese stuff on it. It's a TobyTubbyToastTacular and no mistake. Where as Madeleine just nibbles at stuff but does find parsnips particularly funny.
As always, new pics are up and running in the usual place...

via the Motherland obviously...
So the twins had their first taste of the UK this month. And we had our first taste of what a 4000km round trip in a packed car with two babies felt like. All in all in went very well though and it was great to see everyone. Bit grey mind...
So we have a mix of pictures this month, some here, some there and lots of big people making guest appearances. We also have a pic that you know Madeleine will not thank us for in later years.

Month 10 rolls into town with an extra helping of talking and standing but still an astonishing lack of hair.
Photos can be found in the photos bit ----- over there ------->
There are pictures of *real* people in there too and, quite frankly, an awful lot of comedy baby faces...

The twins have been christened - we think. May I introduce Chubbler and Puddlechuck. Toby and Madeleine are just middle names....
It was a great day - with a very good turnout. The priest even did the service in English. Signs were not encouraging when he said: "Well, I forgot my Baptism book but I brought Weddings and Funerals, shall I just make it up?" But, despite this, it went very well indeed.
We had drinks and nibbles afterwards in our road where La Cave opened especially. Vin D'Orange, lots of grub and more little Madeleines than it was humanly possible to eat.
So we have loads of pictures uploaded, just click Photos, Christening and there they are... Feel free to send me some if you have any better ones and I will add them here.
Thanks to everyone who came, and the twins say thanks for all the pressies....
