The twins have been christened - we think. May I introduce Chubbler and Puddlechuck. Toby and Madeleine are just middle names....
It was a great day - with a very good turnout. The priest even did the service in English. Signs were not encouraging when he said: "Well, I forgot my Baptism book but I brought Weddings and Funerals, shall I just make it up?" But, despite this, it went very well indeed.
We had drinks and nibbles afterwards in our road where La Cave opened especially. Vin D'Orange, lots of grub and more little Madeleines than it was humanly possible to eat.
So we have loads of pictures uploaded, just click Photos, Christening and there they are... Feel free to send me some if you have any better ones and I will add them here.
Thanks to everyone who came, and the twins say thanks for all the pressies....

Month 9 already... and we have now spilled over to a second page of photos...
This month Toby has mainly learned to stand and talk gibberish to himself. Just like his old man. Madeleine, meanwhile, is the sitting queen - not so keen on the old crawling thing just yet thank you. Hey that sounds like me too.
They are both still bald mind. Mads has another tooth, Toby does not have any. And they started on the meat and veg too. Er, what else do you need to know?

Somebody finally took the handbrake off Toby and after a few weeks of flapping his arms and legs around without going anyway, this month he went somewhere... fast.
Madeleine, meanwhile, has had a visit from the tooth monkey and left two little (sharp) pointy things on her bottom gums.
They have seen some changes this month all in all. They are both on solids now and eating happily - Mads has gone from being the slow guzzler to the FEED ME NOW!!! style of table etiquette, whereas Tobes goes for the long leisurely 2-hour lunch break. They seem to eat most things except carrots oddly but the rule of thumb is the greener sludgeler the better.
They also have shiny new beds in their new room, a few new toys and play things and they tried another pram this month too. Whoa those kids are adventurous.
Month 8 pics are up and running and feature a guest - not to mention a surprise - appearance from the Rabbi. You should be able to tell the difference between the pics of them here – hot – and the mountains where they took a little break – not hot.

Our first holiday with the twins and to keep it easy we took them to Italy. It was fantastic. Firstly the place we stayed in was a palace. All painted ceilings and antique furniture, perfect for two messy babies...
And everywhere we went the twins were mobbed - well as much as little old ladies can mob anything - sort of slow low level mobbing I suppose. Mads even made friends with waiters - there'll be none of that behaviour when she's older...
All in all a perfect holiday. Enjoy the pics - most of them were taken at the villa we were staying at, just to give you some idea... But be warned - due to overwhelming demand - for the first time big people may appear in these photos....

6-months old already. Where has it gone?
We actually bought them these pressies to give to them when they were born, but they seemed to have so much other stuff then, that they really wouldn't appreciate 2 more bears. So then we thought if the Queen can have two birthdays, then so can the twins. A plan that is easier to make happen than my other thought that if the Queen can own half a dozen palaces and have her face on stamps then so can we! This is proving harder to arrange.
Anyway, the only problem with buying things at Christmas is the fact that shops are all selling wintery things, things that look a little out of place in late June when the temp is in the 30s.
Toby, of course, loved his pressie - or at least the paper it came in. Madeleine seemed a little more suspicious... surely there is a catch...
Still they both liked them in the end, you can find out what they are in the Photos section.
Plus - this week they have stared on the solids. The mess knows no limits! Tobes is living up to his reputation of eating practically everything but Mads is proving a little more picky. The look on Tobes face when he eats is hilarious. His thought process goes along the lines of this tastes funny - but must eat everything... And there is a picture of Madeleine just before she realised what was about to happen. She did not look that happy by the end.
So month 7 pics up and running.
